Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST)

vibrational sound therapy (VST) combines direct vibrations and tones to help one to enter a deep state of relaxation which helps to restore mind, body and spirit. during your session, hand-hammered therapeutic singing bowls are placed directly on the body for a gentle sound massage. the vibration of the bowls on the body, coupled with the focusing of attention on the tones, allows you to immerse into a meditative state and deep relaxation. Muscles become less tense, and you may even slip into an alpha brain wave pattern. this brain wave pattern is associated with daydreaming and pre-sleep.

this pleasant, non-invasive therapy has been known to reduce stress, improve focus, & reduce blood pressure & heart rate. in addition, it can facilitate the release of endorphins and melatonin, easing chronic pain ~ reducing anxiety, and synchronizing the brain hemispheres. Cranial Sacral therapy (cst) is a gentle, hands-on treatment aimed at reliving pain,and tension by manipulating the skull, spine, and pelvis to encourage theh flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This therapy is believed to enhance the body’s natural healing processes.

during the course of a session, the practitioner uses light touch to detect and correct imbalances in the craniosacral system. You can expect to remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a massage table.

Barefoot Bodywork ~ Sarga & Ashiatsu

Sarga bodywork is a barefoot massage method that employs the use of a fabric strap fastened under the massage table to deliver therapeutic MYOFASCIAL and deep tissue techniques. this fabric strap is used by the practioner for stability and to add tenisonal and gravitational force to specific manual therapy techniques.

these techniques, combined with the broad contact surface of the foot, help to stimulate length, hydration, detoxification, and relaxation in recipients’ bodies. it is a slow moving, deep tissue full body myofascial release massage, leaving you feeling lighter, looser, and completely relaxed!

“Ashi”=foot “atsu”=pressure. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique inspired by ancient eastern practices. during this session, the therapist will utilize bare feet and body weight to deliver a smooth, therapeutic massage. great for those who prefer deep pressure! decreases pain and inflammation in the body while boosting circulation and lymphatic flow. parallel wooden bars are used above the therapist’s head for balance, support, & safety. this massage will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and un-wound!
